• Ticket-buyers should be entitled to refunds if they can’t attend the event and cannot resell their ticket in time.

• Stronger focus on the rehabilitative aspect of prisons, drug and mental health treatment, education programmes, and restorative justice. If we are serious as a society about lowering recidivism rates, prisoners must get the help required to reintegrate into civilian life and cope with its stresses. Focusing on punishment satisfies a short-term lust for revenge but does nothing to address the longer-term problems.

  • Eventually most will be released and if they don't have the option or incentive to go straight they will fall back into a life of crime.

• Add the Ashes back to Category A of the OFCOM Code on Sports and Other Listed and Designated Events, and add selected cricket matches/tournaments as well.
